 FILM VENTURE LONDON was set up by director Graham Cantwell and actress Amy-Joyce Hastings to develop and promote workshops for actors, directors and writers in the film and television industries in the Greater London area.

Drawing on years of combined experience we have designed several workshops that cater to the needs of artists at all levels, from beginners to the highly experienced.

Based in Twickenham, our courses promise to inform and educate in a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere. We also offer expert showreel editing services and website design.

CAMERA ACTING INTENSIVE
SOLD OUT!    DUBLIN: September 6th -10th 2010

A week long full time course dedicated to honing your camera acting skills. After 4 intense days of theory, and workshopping specially chosen scenes, on the final day actors will have their scenes recorded and will be provided with a dvd of their work.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP
DUBLIN: September 8th & 9th 2010
In this popular 2-part evening workshop director Graham Cantwell will take you through the various stages of the audition process for film & television from both the actor's and casting director's perspectives. With an emphasis on practical work you will be given a scene to prepare in advance as well as a cold read on the day. Your scenes will be filmed and expert feedback given.

INTRODUCTION TO ACTING
A 6 week course in stage and screen acting suitable for total beginners who are interested in the craft and profession of acting. The course takes place one evening a week.

 This is a course designed for actors who have more experience working on stage than in front of a camera. It will give you a structured approach to working on film or television that will build on the teachings and principles you already put into practice when working on stage. Learning to adapt your process to the unique nature of the film and television environment so you can book those jobs too.

 In this weekend workshop director Graham Cantwell will take you step by step through the stages of feature film production on a modest budget, and will pass on all the hard earned knowledge he has accumulated making the transition from successful short films to a theatrically released feature film.

This one-to-one coaching is suitable for directors seeking to improve their technique and refine their skills, or interested beginners who wish to explore the craft of directing. As this is an individual tutorial we can tailor the session to your specific needs so please contact us to discuss what it is you would like to achieve as a result of coaching.
