STAGE
TO SCREEN ACTING
Next Course: 2011
Saturday/Sunday
10am - 6pm
Date/Venue
TBC
This
is a course designed for actors who have more experience
working on stage than in front of a camera. Its purpose is to give you
a structured approach to preparation for working on film or television
that will build on the teachings and principles you put into practice
when working on stage, and cater the process to the unique nature of
the film and television environment.
With
practical steps the process
outlined will
give the actor
everything they need to get to the rehearsal room or set prepared to
begin the work of exploring the drama with the director and their
fellow actors. It will also provide the terminology and vocabulary
necessary to communicate with a director on set in a manner that will
lead to more playable direction. The different roles of crew, and the
terminology and technology that
they use in various departments will also be covered. Here's
