An
intensive acting for
camera course over 5 days in October. The last couple were a great
success, there are some quotes from the participants at the bottom of
this page.
Practical and
inclusive with a very small group to allow for specific, catered
attention to each actor's needs. The course is designed to refine your
approach to working in front of a camera and will culminate in
shooting a practise scene on the Canon XL1, which you will get an
edited version of to keep.
With an
emphasis on practical scene
work, the process of working intimately with a director and other

Spent the last week doing Graham Cantwell's acting for camera course,
can't recommend it enough!! Graham has all the traits that makes a
great teacher, bucket loads of patience, understanding and a passion
for what he does. He's truly inspiring and lets face it, its not
everyday an actor gets to work with a Director like him.

Just spent the last week doing Graham's course acting for camera. Was
one of the best weeks I've done in long time. Anybody 'thinking' of
doing the course in the future should stop thinking and DO IT.
Stephen Kelly
Thank you very much for a wonderful course. I really enjoyed
it
and got a huge amount out of it. It was so intelligently
structured and thoughtfully delivered that it
allowed
me to relax completely and be able to take a chance
in this
new camera area. The clear directions were essentially simple and
'do-able' - and I could see when they worked. It gives me a new
personal baseline for working with camera. Hopefully I'll get to
workshop or work with you again. In the meantime, many many thanks.
Phil Kelly
I loved doing the course and you're a great teacher/director with a lot
of love for the work and a lot of knowlege so I will be definitely be
recommending you to Everyone!!
Emma Roche
The workshop was a delight. Graham creates an environment where you
feel comfortable to take risks, make mistakes and ultimately become a
better actor. He can effortlessly get any actor to stop
‘acting’ and start living a life on camera. His
message is
simple – YOU are enough. Inspiring, freeing and completely
terrifying! He has changed my perception of acting.

I'm delighted to have participated in the 5 day work shop. Graham has
the ability to bring out the best in an actor and make them feel
completely comfortable. He also teaches how to deliver truthful and
realistic performances. Graham's workshop is by far the best I have
ever attended.
Layla O'Sullivan
Once again, thanks for your wonderful course. I really enjoyed it and
found you a great, encouraging, informative, fun teacher. Hopefully, I
will get to do more courses with you in the future.
Jane Mulcahy
I just completed the week long camera acting workshop in the Lab,
Dublin. I can honestly say that I've never gotten more out of a course.
Graham is not only a great teacher but a real Actor's Director. Thanks
to him, everyone felt totally comfortable in that space to just go for
it and perform. For our last day we shot original show reel scenes on
location around Dublin. I'd recommend FVL to anyone. As a result of the
course I feel I'm a better actor and my approaches to character work
has changed forever.
Sharon Sutton
The 5 day workshop was brilliant to do, enjoyed every minute of it.
Great environment, got so much out of the course. I learned a lot about
giving truthful and realistic performances, I felt it was the best
acting course I have ever done. Graham has the ability to bring out the
best in every actor. I would love to work with him again in the future,
and would recommend the course to anybody.
